Coming-Out

The concept behind this dress, is the identity theory during the process of coming out. As an individual having internal battle facing the four stages of coming out: Denial, Confusion, Acceptance, and Pride.

The dress is mad of black twill that is covered in rope as an abstract way to represent denial and confusion.

At the top it represent "coming out of teh closet", as you open the flap there is a rainbow beadings heart to symbolized the accpetance and pride.
